Bali | Director General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Tri Handoko Seto visited the Adyaksa Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) Deputy Dharma Center for Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe Jaya Acharyananda yesterday, Wednesday (10/8/2021) at Griya Mumbul Sari, Gianyar

The visit was carried out to seek input and direction from Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe Jaya Acharyananda regarding the polemic of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) that has recently occurred among Hindus.

"All forms of input and considerations from Ida Ratu Pandita will be used as a reference in formulating the best solution to the problems that are currently happening," said Tri Handoko Seto.

Including the participation of several elements of government institutions in the group such as the Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), the Presidential Staff Office Representative (KSP), and the Special Staff of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, is a form of the seriousness of the Director General of Hindu Guidance in formulating a comprehensive solution.

"In addition to the religious aspect, we also consider legal aspects, human rights, and also the social order so that this conflict does not have a much wider impact on our Hindus," he continued.

In response to this, Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe Jaya Acharyananda advised the state to be present seriously as a guide in resolving the ISKCON horizontal conflict in the midst of Indonesian Hindus.

"The state must be present to protect its citizens, do not silence this conflict for too long, so as not to cause a prolonged conflict," he said.

In addition, Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe Jaya Acharyananda also gave a special message to the Director General of Hindu Guidance at the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia to pay attention to Hindu Pandita throughout Indonesia, especially regarding religious insight and spirituality.

“We hope that the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance can be a pioneer in creating a kind of Pandita school to increase the insight and knowledge of our Pandita.  Because in a situation like this, religious leaders have a very crucial role as a mediator for understanding Hinduism to their people," he concluded.(red)
