Media DNN - Bali | Jembrana Regent I Nengah Tamba officially opened the VII Bali Dance Festival with the theme "Harmony in Diversity" at the Ir Arts Building. Soekarno, Sunday (28/1/2024).

This activity, which is routinely carried out every year, is attended by hundreds of dancers, the majority of whom are children from the Bali Pradnya Swari Dance Studio.

Interestingly, not only physically normal children dance Balinese dances, also disabled children are very fluent in dancing Balinese dances.

This invited admiration from the audience present, even appreciation came from the number one person in Jembrana, namely Regent I Nengah Tamba who was accompanied by Mrs. Candrawati Tamba along with Jembrana Police Chief AKBP Endang Tri Purwanto and other invited guests.

"I really appreciate the Pradnya Swari Bali Dance Studio, especially the owner, Mrs. Kadek Astini, in building Jembrana's superior human resources (HR), especially in the arts field. Because we all understand that what supports Bali, apart from religion and custom, is art and culture itself. "And this has been done by the Pradnya Swari Bali Dance Studio," he said.

Especially for children with disabilities, the Regent of Tamba also expressed his pride for their extraordinary performance. He said that this could be an example for children their age. "This is an extraordinary example, children with disabilities/special needs are able to dance Balinese dances very well. "So the space for creativity does not provide limits for them," he explained.

On the other hand, the owner of the Pradnya Swari Bali Dance Studio, Ni Kadek Astini, said that teaching children with normal conditions and disabilities is equally difficult, because they teach dance from the basics. However, he admitted that he already had his own strategy. For example, if a child is deaf then the key is communication.

“Teaching dance to children with disabilities is a satisfaction in itself. We have held several events so that disabled children can perform. "Then every time there is an event, we try to embrace all people with disabilities who have potential in the art of dance, then there are also small performances often,"he said.

He also expressed his gratitude to I Nengah Tamba and his staff who have provided a space for expression for creators or performers of art and culture in Jembrana Regency, especially the Pradnya Swari Bali Dance Studio.

"Thank you, Mr. Regent, who always gives us support and encouragement, this is proven in every event held by the government, we are always involved. "Because once again this is a form of government support in preserving the arts and culture in Jembrana," he concluded. (Komang/Public Relations/red).
